Dear Robin, my sincerest condolences. My mother passed away on Saturday 17th October. She was 94 so had a good innings, but she still leaves a big hole in all our hearts as the loss of your father must do for you. I hope you have plenty of support from family and friends around you. Since discovering The History of Byzantium earlier this year you have been my constant companion every day through lockdown. I really enjoy your style of presentation. So you are just like a friend to me even though you don’t know me. Best wishes for organising funerals etc and I look forward to more amazing podcasts from you in the future.
Kind regards,
Barrie, Australia
Dear Robin, Just heard the sad news of your father’s passing. Having been through the same exact situation with my own father’s passing away almost a year to the day, I’m aware that words expressed on a blog could not possibly convey the sympathy & comfort for the pain & loss your family is feeling. God bless you & keep you strong during this very trying time.
Sincerely,
Nicholas

he was a good man. Even though i never meet him i remember you talking about your dad in the early episodes like maybe i think it was somewhere between 1-10 i get so nostalgic about the early episodes cus i started listening right away Robin mentioned he worked with his dad and i just get the feeling that he did what a good father does and said go for it Robin this podcast is great idea. or something like that and whatnot.
Take care Robin and take as much time as you need.
