An introduction to life in Antioch in 350AD. Amidst the great buildings live the beleaguered poor of the Roman world. The Christians were destined to care for and convert these people but in 350AD the threat of losing souls to Judaism or Paganism was real.

Dear Robin,
I am trying to download this episode and save it (I use i-Tunes), but it does not show up there. I bought all the other episodes which were for sale, but I believe that this one is free. Can you tell me where I can get it?
Best regards

What a great start to the Byzantine Stories series! I can’t wait to listen to the other three parts. I really liked the sound effects towards the beginning and the wonderful picture you painted for us of life in fourth-century CE Antioch.
🙂
awesome episode! a great glimpse on the real life in Antioch of 350 AD!!!
Hey Robin,
I think that this ‘show within a show’ is a fantastic idea. Great way for the fundraising moving forward as well! I’m more than happy to purchase all the episodes as this podcast helps keep me entertained and sane on the roughly 2 hours a day in the Underground.

Thanks for letting me know, it’s fixed now
Congrats on your great work on the history of Byzantium. I just couldn’t resist spotting a little mistake on the index title of these episodes, as Chrysostom is written as ” Chrystosom”. I guess I wouldn’t have given any attention if it wasn’t my first name. 🙂Keep this high quality podcast on!
Thanks so much. Where is this mistake showing up?

Over here, on the title
Actually, on the episodes’ 1.1 to 1.4 titles, after clicking on “Byzantine Stories”
Ah, I see. That index was created by a kind listener. So I think we’ll have to live with it.
